LINDABURY AND GOOD GRIEF TEAM UP FOR THE HOLIDAY SEASON
December 22, 2008
Lindabury has again teamed up with children in the community to design the firm’s holiday card. This year’s card was designed by Olivia, 8, of Long Valley, New Jersey. Olivia’s drawing of a snowman outside a house with holiday lights was selected as the winning illustration in a contest sponsored by the law firm and Good Grief, the Summit-based organization that provides grief support to children and their families.
This week two shareholders of the firm, Edward J. Frisch and Robert W. Anderson, visited Good Grief’s Summit facility to meet the young illustrator and to present her with a special prize for her efforts. They awarded her a Vermont Teddy Bear dressed as a veterinarian because of her love of animals. The attorneys also gave prizes to the other children who participated.
"We love this program and are very grateful that Good Grief teamed up with us this year to make it happen," said Mr. Frisch. "It’s a way for us to stay in touch with the true spirit of the season and to be mindful of the challenging journey some children have."
Good Grief is a resource for children and their families who are coping with loss due to death. Through its support center and workshops, its professionals and volunteers help children during difficult times, and offer support and guidance to the adults in their lives. The organization is a client of the firm.
