Mr. Ross has spent more than 34 years in the practice of law. He devotes most of his time to the representation of clients in the healthcare industry and in law enforcement. He counsels hospitals and other healthcare providers on a vast array of legal issues and has a national reputation as a labor and employment practitioner. He has delivered presentations on employment and labor relations issues at seminars throughout the United States. Mr. Ross has negotiated hundreds of labor contracts and has litigated countless matters before the courts, labor arbitrators, the New Jersey Public Employment Relations Commission and the National Labor Relations Board.
In addition to his significant hospital, labor and employment relations practice, major lending institutions routinely seek his advice regarding their loan transactions and administration. He has nearly 25 years of experience representing banks and mortgage companies in connection with residential and commercial loan closings. He has been involved in numerous loan transactions with the United States Small Business Administration and the New Jersey Economic Development Authority.
Mr. Ross has also served as general counsel to a vast array of businesses with emphasis on labor, employment and real property matters and the nuances of non-profit entities.
Prior to entering the practice of law, Mr. Ross attended Washington & Lee University School of Law where he was class president, honored as a Martin P. Burks Scholar and served as an Instructor in Legal Research, Writing and Appellate Argument. He tied for best oralist in the nation following the National Final Round of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition. After law school, he served as law secretary to the Honorable Lawrence A. Whipple, Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. During his undergraduate years at St. Lawrence University, he was men's class president, fraternity president and elected to Omicron Delta Kappa, the prestigious national scholarship and leadership society.
