Dennis McKeever specializes in Education Law throughout the State of New Jersey. The focus of his practice is representing boards of education in matters dealing with construction, labor and personnel, residency and governance. Dennis has also represents other public entities such as municipalities, joint insurance funds and educational service commissions. Dennis is an officer of the New Jersey Association of School Attorneys. Dennis has represented boards of education through all facets of construction projects, including preparation and negotiation of contracts with architects and construction managers, review of bid specifications and bid submissions, preparation and drafting of construction contracts as well as assisting with project closeout. Dennis is licensed by the American Institute of Architects to draft and prepare contract documents and routinely counsels clients with respect to the language contained in the form documents. Dennis has appeared before the Superior Court of New Jersey on bid specification challenges, bid protests, municipal mechanic's liens and complex commercial litigation. Dennis has also appeared before the American Arbitration Association on claims such as delay claims, design defect, contractor default and environmental cases. Dennis routinely counsels his clients through the Competitive Contracting and Request for Proposals/Qualifications process. Dennis has also handled investigations from the Department of Labor and Department of Community Affairs.
In addition to his construction practice, Dennis represents clients in labor and employment matters. Dennis has appeared extensively before the Public Employment Relations Commission, the American Arbitration Association, the Office of Administrative Law, Civil Service Commission and the Superior Court of New Jersey.
