David concentrates his practice on environmental and land use issues, including commercial and industrial leasing, sales and purchases, and zoning and planning. He also represents clients in general business activities, including resolution, shareholder disputes, asset and stock acquisitions, preparation of buy-sell agreements, voting trusts, stock redemption agreements, and other business agreements; and negotiation and preparation of commercial and industrial leases and purchase agreements for real property.
David’s experience in the environmental law field is extensive and includes, among other things:
- Oversight of compliance with New Jersey’s complex Industrial Site Recovery Act
- Prosecution and defense of litigation regarding liability among past and current property owners, tenants, adjoining owners, contractors and third parties, including government agencies
- Coordination of a successful industry challenge to proposed wastewater pretreatment regulations
- Negotiation of environmental terms and conditions in purchases, sales, lendings and bond issues
- Coordination of an emergent joint undertaking by affected industries and local civic organizations to participate as amicus curiae in litigation concerning dredging issues
- Preliminary permitting activities for a proposed major hazardous waste facility
- Securing regulatory approvals for purchase of entity in solid waste business
- Licensing and permitting of hazardous waste recycling activities
- Review of licensing and waste disposal issues related to radioactive materials, by products and wastes
David also has an environmental engineering degree and several years work experience in the field.
He has served as a former chairman of the Joint Environmental Committee of the Union County Alliance, Linden Industrial Association, and Union County Chamber of Commerce. He resides in Hunterdon County and enjoys a wide variety of outdoor activities, including beekeeping and maple syrup production.
