John concentrates his practice on corporate and business law, tax, wills, trusts and estate planning, and elder law. In the course of providing legal services to clients, he often assists them in defining, planning, and meeting their personal and business needs in areas including individual and corporate tax planning, business transactions, estate planning and probate administration, and employee benefits. In addition, he provides legal representation to charitable nonprofit corporations, including private foundations and hospitals. Prior to joining Lindabury, John was employed by the Internal Revenue Service in Washington, D.C., as a Tax Law Specialist. In addition to his law degree, he holds a Masters of Law degree in Taxation from Georgetown University. John is a former Chairman of the Board of Directors of Children’s Specialized Hospital in Mountainside, New Jersey, and is currently a member of the Board of Trustees. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees of Robert Wood Johnson Healthcare Corporation and the Robert Wood Johnson Health Network. In addition, John serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of The John F. Byrne Foundation, Inc. and The Hummingbird Foundation, Inc. Community organizations of which John has served as President include the Westfield, New Jersey Rotary Club, the Westfield, New Jersey Chapter of the American Red Cross, Summit, New Jersey Police Athletic League, and the Crestview Tennis and Swim Club in New Providence, New Jersey. John regularly lectures before various professional and civic associations on topics relating to taxation, business planning and wills, trusts and estate planning, and has also participated in teaching Business Law at the college level.
