krussell@lindabury.com Kevin has more than 15 years experience with a concentration in fidelity and surety law, construction law and commercial insurance. He has handled matters in the state, federal and bankruptcy courts in New Jersey and New York, as well as various ADR proceedings. Kevin is an active member of the American Bar Association Fidelity and Surety Law Committee, where he was a founding member of the group’s Young Lawyers’ Division. He is also a member of the Defense Research Institute where he served as Vice Chair from 2004-2006 and is currently Chair of the DRI’s Fidelity and Surety Committee. Kevin has lectured nationally before the Defense Research Institute, the Surety Claims Institute, the American Surety Association, and New Jersey Institute of Continuing Legal Education. Kevin authored the Chapter on New Jersey in the Performance Bond Manual ABA 2006 (Lerner and Baum eds), a fifty state survey of the law of performance bonds. He co-authored the chapter on performance bonds for The Construction Law Handbook, Cushman and Myers, eds, 1999). He has also authored the chapter on performance bonds for Construction Law Basics 2004 for the New Jersey Institute of Continuing Legal Education. In addition to co-authoring these leading treatises, Kevin has authored the Direct Loss Requirement in the September 2005 edition of For the Defense, and Mechanics Lien Discharge Bonds, in the September 2004 edition of For the Defense. Kevin graduated cum laude from New York Law School where he served as an Articles Editor for The Journal of International and Comparative Law and graduated cum laude from St. Michael’s College with a B.A. in history.
