Ken Soriero joined the firm in 2005 after graduating magna cum laude from Seton Hall University School of Law. While attending law school, Ken worked as a paralegal and law clerk for the law firm of St. John & Wayne, LLC, in Newark, New Jersey, where he performed research and analysis in a variety of areas, including debtor/creditor transactions, workers’ compensation law, commercial law and corporate tax.
While at Lindabury, Ken has focused his practice on construction, labor and tax law matters. In the area of construction law, Ken has represented owners, contractors and specialty trade subcontractors in all phases of construction litigation in both the public and private sector. Ken also has significant experience in public contracts law representing clients in bid disputes and protests. He is knowledgeable with New Jersey’s Municipal Mechanics’ Lien Law, New Jersey’s Construction Lien Law and New Jersey’s Bond Act and has extensive experience regarding payment issues and disputes on construction projects.
In the area of labor law, Ken has experience in all aspects of the collective bargaining and contract negotiations process, including interest arbitration. He has previously lectured on numerous occasions before the New Jersey State PBA on these topics.
Ken’s prior experience includes two and a half years as a tax and legal services associate at the accounting firm of PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP, in Florham Park, New Jersey. While there, he prepared corporate and partnership federal and state tax returns and performed research and analysis on tax decisions and rulings.
Ken received his undergraduate degree in accountancy from Villanova University where he graduated cum laude. At Villanova, he was active in Phi Sigma Kappa, the Freshman Orientation Committee, and alumni relations, and was the University’s Alternate Commencement Speaker.
Since 2006, Ken has served as a member of The Westfield Board of Adjustments, which has allowed him to gain valuable experience in land use issues, variances, local town ordinances and the Municipal Land Use Law.
