General Description: Our real estate attorneys possess extensive experience in handling all aspects of land ownership and use, whether it be a routine title closing for a residential property owner or a complex transaction involving commercial or industrial property. We routinely represent individuals and business entities in connection with the sale, lease, and use of all types of real property. Such representation includes the negotiation and drafting of purchase contracts, leases, easements, options, and other instruments; completing title examinations and closing titles; negotiating and structuring the financing of projects; providing assistance with tax and environmental issues; advising clients with respect to landlord-tenant matters; and representing clients in condemnation proceedings. We also have significant experience in representing the developers of projects for residential, commercial, and industrial use including both residential and office condominiums. Additionally, we have represented several homeowner associations of residential condominium developments. Another significant portion of our real estate practice concerns land use law and regulation. We frequently represent parties who submit, or who object to, applications for zoning variances, site plan approval, and subdivisions before planning boards and boards of adjustment. Several of our attorneys presently serve as counsel to planning boards and zoning boards of adjustment. We also appear before the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, governing bodies, and other regulatory agencies in the representation of clients who seek, or object to, various permits and authorizations for air, water, and sewer discharges. |
