Jay Lavroff, a partner with Lindabury, McCormick, Estabrook & Cooper, P.C., was honored as the Union County Bar Association’s Professional Lawyer of the Year at the NJ Commission on Professionalism in the Law annual awards luncheon on Thursday, Oct. 11, 2018, at Pines Manor in Edison, NJ.
The Professional Lawyer of the Year Awards, now its 22nd year, are presented in cooperation with county bar associations throughout the state of New Jersey to lawyers who are respected by colleagues for their character, competence and exemplary professional behavior. The NJ Commission on Professionalism in the Law is a unique cooperative venture of the New Jersey State Bar Association (NJSBA), the state and federal judiciary, and New Jersey’s three law schools.

Mr. Lavroff concentrates his practice in litigation, with an emphasis in the areas of insurance coverage and defense, professional liability claims, and contract disputes. In addition to trial work in the state and federal courts, Jay has also successfully prosecuted and defended appeals in the New Jersey Supreme Court and Appellate Division, and the First Department of the Appellate Division of the New York Supreme Court. Admitted to the New Jersey and New York bars, Jay holds a J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law.
