WESTFIELD – As the firm approaches its 50-year milestone, Lindabury, McCormick & Estabrook continues its steady growth, announcing the addition of Monica Vir as the firm’s newest associate. Ms. Vir first became affiliated with the firm as a summer associate in 2002.
“While at Lindabury as a summer associate, we were impressed with Monica’s skills and abilities in working on various issues of law,” said Stephen Santola, Lindabury’s hiring manager. “Monica embodies those characteristics we strive to cultivate in every generation of new attorneys at Lindabury.”
“I appreciate the opportunity to join a firm that provides me with experience in a number of different practice areas,” said Ms. Vir. “I’m currently working with attorneys on employment law, tax and estate law, and general business law issues. Lindabury has already offered me hands-on, practical experience, while allowing me to determine which practice area is of interest to me.”
Ms. Vir received her Juris Doctorate from Rutgers School of Law in Newark. She served as the Managing Editor of the Rutgers Computer and Technology Law Journal, in which her article, “The Blame Game: Can Internet Service Providers Be Held Liable for Semantic Attacks?” (29 Rutgers Comp Tech L.J. 193 (2003)), was published. She also served as a legal intern with Honorable Alfred Lechner, Jr., U. S. District Court, District of New Jersey (ret.). Prior to attending law school, Ms. Vir was a business analyst with American Management Systems, Inc. She graduated from The College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government.
