Medwell, LLC,<\/em> concerned the enforceability of Mutual Agreement to Arbitrate all employment related disputes.<\/p>\n<p>The employee acknowledged that she signed the agreement on her fourth day of employment with the employer.\u00a0 Immediately above the employee\u2019s signature line was a section titled \u201cVoluntary Agreement,\u201d which read in all capital letters:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>I ACKNOWLEDGE THAT I HAVE CAREFULLY READ THIS AGREEMENT, THAT I UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS, THAT ALL UNDERSTANDINGS AND AGREEMENTS BETWEEN THE COMPANY AND ME RELATING TO THE SUBJECTS COVERED IN THE AGREEMENT ARE CONTAINED IN IT, AND THAT I HAVE ENTERED INTO THE AGREEMENT VOLUNTARILY AND NOT IN RELIANCE ON ANY PROMISES OR REPRESENTATIONS BY THE COMPANY OTHER THAN THOSE CONTAINED IN THE AGREEMENT ITSELF.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<div class=\"read_more_link\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lindabury.com\/firm\/insights\/please-dont-sign-now-take-it-home-and-think-it-over-a-cautionary-tale-for-employers.html\"  title=\"Continue Reading \u201cPLEASE, DON\u2019T SIGN NOW, TAKE IT HOME AND THINK IT OVER\u201d: A Cautionary Tale for Employers\" class=\"more-link\">Continue Reading \u203a<\/a><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A recent decision from the New Jersey Appellate Division serves as a warning to employers requiring \u00a0employees to sign a bevy of employment-related documents during an orientation period.\u00a0 The case, Imperato v.
