Andrew J. Gibbs joined Lindabury, McCormick, Estabrook & Cooper in its Westfield office in September 2008. Andrew has extensive defense litigation experience in New Jersey state and federal court and concentrates his practice in the areas of product liability, toxic/mass tort, professional liability, commercial litigation, general litigation, automobile negligence and insurance litigation.
Andrew is a former Partner with Cozen O’Connor in New York and, a former Associate with Marshall, Dennehey, Warner, Coleman & Goggin in Livingston, NJ. Following law school, Andrew clerked for the Honorable Edward W. Beglin, Jr., A.J.S.C., in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Law Division.
A graduate of the Richard J. Hughes American Inn of Court, Andrew is currently a member of the Defense Research Institute, the American Bar Association, the New Jersey State Bar Association and the Union County Bar Association. His reported decisions include Robinson v. Coia, 183 N.J. 25 (2005), a decision which upheld self insurance rights for the car rental industry. He is the author of "Spoliation of Evidence: A Real Concern for New Jersey Employers", an article published in the Workplace Injuries supplement of the New Jersey Law Journal in 2000. In law school, Andrew served as Vice President of the Moot Court Honor Society and received the Order of the Barristers.
