Scott C. Pyfer joined the firm in February 2009. He focuses on the representation of institutional lenders and business borrowers in all aspects of commercial lending and restructuring, including but not limited to commercial loan workouts, debtor and creditors’ rights litigation, bankruptcy practice and transactional work in loan documentation. Scott has coordinated many loan restructurings involving borrowers located across the country in numerous and diverse industries, including healthcare, real estate development and telecommunications. Formerly general counsel to a commercial lender, he also counsels lenders with respect to issues that arise under the Uniform Commercial Code, particularly under Articles 3, 4 and 9. In addition, Scott represents title companies and their insureds with respect to claims that arise under insured mortgages and other provisions of title insurance policies.
Scott has been recognized as a New Jersey Super Lawyer in the areas of bankruptcy and loan workout litigation in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008. Scott has lectured at presentations that he has conducted for the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education, the New Jersey State Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Institute and the New Jersey Bankers Association.
