Elder care and estate planning attorney Elizabeth Manzo hosted a gathering on November 17th in Madison New Jersey for clients and friends on issues surrounding long-term care and estate planning.  The discussion centered on critical questions that need to be asked by both those who are aging gracefully and by those who have aging parents.

  • How to avoid the most common mistakes when planning for long-term care
  • What strategies are available to preserve assets (and minimize taxes) when caring for a loved one who needs Medicaid or other needs-based assistance, whether at home or in a nursing facility
  • Debunking common social security myths

Elizabeth is a Certified Elder Law Attorney (CELA) who is accredited by the National Elder Law Foundation on behalf of the American Bar Association. For 25 years she has represented older or disabled persons and their representatives in financing long-term medical care, nursing home issues, qualifying for SSI, Medicaid and other public benefits, guardianships, special needs trust planning, trust administration and Trust / Estate Litigation.
