Meghan Lawlor is an associate at Lindabury. She concentrates her practice on estate litigation, estate administration, and estate planning. She also has experience working on commercial litigation matters.
Meg represents clients in probate litigation, including beneficiaries and fiduciaries in disputes involving challenged wills, breach of fiduciary duty actions, and accounting disputes. Meg also handles guardianship proceedings. Clients rely on Meghan for skilled advocacy in probate court, particularly when disagreement, misconduct, or incapacity places an estate or vulnerable individual at risk. Additionally, she advocates on behalf of clients in matters involving New Jersey Inheritance Tax Returns and related filings and advises clients on all aspects of estate planning and estate administration.
Before joining the firm, Meg worked as an associate at a boutique Trusts & Estates firm. She also has experience as an associate with a mid-sized national firm where she handled professional liability and commercial litigation matters and provided private client services, including estate planning.
Meghan also clerked for the Honorable James J. DeLuca, J.S.C. of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Bergen Vicinage, Chancery Division, General Equity and Probate Parts. During her clerkship, she conducted legal research and drafted judicial opinions on a wide range of chancery and probate matters.
Meghan earned her law degree from Rutgers University School of Law, where she served as the Managing Editor of the Women’s Rights Law Reporter. She is admitted to practice in New Jersey, New York, and the U.S. District Court, District of New Jersey.
