Tax

Practice Group Leader: Robert S. Schwartz

The tax attorneys at Lindabury provide a full complement of services concerning tax matters for individuals, partnerships, closely-held corporations, charitable organizations, welfare benefit plans and publicly-owned corporations. Several of our tax attorneys hold advanced Master of Laws degrees in Taxation, underscoring our commitment to providing expert tax advice and representation. The firm’s practice includes tax planning, as well as representation before the Internal Revenue Service, Federal and State tax courts, county boards of taxation, and various other state and local tax authorities.

We also advise clients on the tax aspects of business organizations, including acquisitions and mergers, dispositions, redemptions and liquidations and employee benefits and exemption from taxes. While much of our work relates to federal tax law, we also deal extensively in state and local income taxes, estate taxes, real estate transfer taxes and real property tax appeals, sales and use tax audits, and other areas of state and local taxation. We regularly counsel businesses concerning the effect and application of taxes on their operations.
